Reporting line:  Head of Client Operations

Team size:  2 (1 manager and 1 staff)

Main team functions:

-Regulatory Reporting overall control including creation and submission

-Documentation and maintenance of definitions of requirements

-Baikai / Dairi Transaction Record maintenance

-Legal ledgers periodic check and overall maintenance

-Nostro Reconciliation

Challenges:    

-Timely coordination and implementation support of new requirement or changes of requirements of regulatory reporting

-Project planning, coordination across regions / divisions & implementation for process reengineering (Nostro reconciliation / Regulatory Reporting / Baikai Transaction Records)

-People agenda

Responsibilities:

• Manager of the Regulatory Reporting team formed by 2 people.

• Day to day process supervision, management and review of regulatory reports creation and submission.

• Day to day process supervision, management and review of Nostro reconciliation.

• Day to day process supervision, management and review of Baikai / Dairi Transaction Records creation and maintenance.

• Day to day people supervision of Regulatory Reporting staff.

• Create and maintain documents of definitions of requirements of regulatory reports

• Act as the main contact towards local regulatory bodies and authorities regarding regulatory reporting matters.

• Conduct periodic training and learning sessions within Operations regarding regulatory reporting requirements / Baikai & Dairi Transaction record criteria.

• Coordination beyond Divisions of any new requirements or changes of regulatory reporting & legal ledgers matters.

• Project planning, coordination, Implementation of Nostro reconciliation automation / Regulatory reporting new requirement & changes / Baikai Dairi Transaction record creation and maintenance

• Conduct general review and discussions within Operations or/and with other divisions to address any regulatory potential weaknesses / issues and implement action plans

• Act as a coordinator for SJ Operations in the case of external audits

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in Investment Banking Operations or Finance including Regulatory reporting-relating function

• Strong Control and service mindset

• Excellent communication skills and people management skills

• Reengineering and process designing experience is preferable

• Native Japanese and business level English
