Leading global financial services firm seeking financial auditor (manager) to plan and perform audits of financial statements with minimal supervision and act as a leader to junior team members.
Position Description • Plan and execute audits in accordance with established standards, taking a hands-on approach throughout. • Monitor progress using required administrative management tools to ensure completion of segmented assigned tasks timely. • Work on multiple reviews where necessary. • Provide guidance and direction to more junior team members. • Perform quality assurance self-assessments upon completion of the audit. • Develop and present recommendations and related audit report deliverables. • Ensure audit issues are persuasive and contains only relevant facts and information presented in a balanced manner. • Obtain agreed actions from the client management for all audit findings. • Discuss findings and description of processes with Portfolio Manager. • Tracking actions through to conclusion. • Follow up on the status of significant actions quarterly. • Perform miscellaneous and other administrative duties • Perform special projects, regulatory review and administrative projects as requested by client management and Audit Management.
Skills Required Experience: • Relevant business experience with knowledge of investment banking products and services. Strong knowledge of audit/risk techniques and principles. Ideal candidates would have Internal Audit experience within an Investment Bank. • A good technical understanding of the business processes function and corresponding operational and financial controls designed to effectively manage the organization’s business units and operations. • Strong analytical and decision-making skills. • Ability to structure solutions to complex problems. • Strong project management skills. • Demonstrate self-discipline and good time management. • Self-starter and can work on multiple projects under pressure. • Demonstrate creativity and intuitive thinking. • Consistently complete work on time and within budget without compromising quality. • Consistently convey a confident, professional, positive, and realistic attitude. • Hold self and others accountable for demonstrating the highest ethical standards. • Maintain a habit of continuous learning and take responsibility for the development of one’s own skills, including technical, business, interpersonal, written and informal verbal communication. • Set annual personal and professional goals and measure performance against them. • Work toward obtaining appropriate professional certifications. • Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
